Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Tools (32-Bit) Released

Microsoft has released a 32-bit version of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Tools.

Exchange Server 2007 is a native 64-bit application that includes 64-bit management tools. You can use the management tools to administer your Exchange Server environment remotely. If your remote computer is running a 32-bit operating system, you will need to download the 32-bit management tools.

The Exchange management tools include the Exchange Management Console (EMC), the Exchange Management Shell (EMS), the Exchange Help file, the Microsoft Exchange Best Practices Analyzer Tool, and the Exchange Troubleshooting Assistant Tool.

Get the 32-bit Exchange management tools here.

Joe, you may need to install the 32-bit Exchange Server tools on the server before installing BackupExec. If that's not an option, install the tools on another 32-bit server or workstation.

Exchange management console and exchange management shell were always not always enough for me.

I use 3rd party exchange management tools. Scriptlogic's exchange management solution is a good example of such utilities. It's a bundle of 3 tools that incorporates 3 important aspects of exchange management: security, reporting, and archiving.

If you work with exchange backups I can also recommend you to have a look at recovery manager for exchange that allows for item-level recovery of all types exchange backup data.
